Maria Grace Patricio, 71, passed away on New Years Eve, December 31st 2023, surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren.

Maria was a selfless, hard working women with a heart of gold that was always looking out for others. She would give everything until she had nothing left without a second thought. What Maria enjoyed in life was cleaning, cooking, shopping and most importantly caring for others. She loved bringing her family together and making big meals for them to enjoy.

Maria was born in the Azores of Portugal in 1953. She was the daughter of the late Marcelino Louis Pereira, and Maria deJesus Costa. She lived in Portugal until she was 16 when she relocated to Fall River, Massachusetts and then eventually Central Falls, Rhode Island. Maria’s main occupation was a House Keeper for Environmental Services at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket for 15 years. Although she was a hard worker, she devoted her life to her kids and grandchildren as they were her pride and joy.

Maria is survived by her husband, Juvilino Soares, her 5 daughters Debbie, Christine, Melissa, Stacie, and Michelle Patricio. Maria is predeceased by a grandson, Harry Junior Martinez and leaves behind 12 more grandchildren Selena, Christian, Johnathan, Elexis, Savanna, Jack, Gracia, Jamison, Aniya, Ethan, Sophia, Wynnter. Maria was predeceased by a brother Paul and leaves behind 5 siblings Louis, Marc, Lucy, Rosa, Gabriel and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Maria’s life will be held at Keefe Funeral Home in Lincoln, RI, on Saturday, January 6th from 11am - 2pm. Burial Private.
